General questions

What happens with late changes and late cancellations?
Because our cleaning technicians are scheduled in advance, short notice changes and cancellations will have a penalty fee. A $100 fee applies for cancellations or rescheduling within 48 hours of the appointment. This protects our technicians’ expected income.
What is your happiness guarantee?
If you are not satisfied with your cleaning, contact us within 24 hours. We will assess your concerns and, where appropriate, re-clean the problem area at no additional cost to you.
Should I tip my cleaning technician?
Tipping is never required, but it is a lovely way to tell your cleaner that you think they did a great job. You can leave cash in an envelope, or use the Venmo QR code your technician leaves behind.
What do you need from me for employee safety?
Work areas need to be accessible without excessive clutter or hazards, and indoor temperatures must be appropriate for our technicians’ comfort and safety during service.
Is there an adults-only requirement during service?
Please do not leave children home during cleaning. Animals should be crated or off the premises, unless we have arranged in advance for pets to remain out of their crates.
Can I hire one of your technicians directly?
We value our trained technicians and invest in them, so we ask that clients not recruit them directly.

Vacation Rental Turnovers

What is your cancellation policy for turnovers?
Less than 24 hours’ notice: 100% of the scheduled cleaning fee. 24–48 hours’ notice: 50% of the scheduled cleaning fee. More than 48 hours’ notice: no charge. A $150 trip charge applies if guests are present during a scheduled cleaning.
Can you handle same-day turnovers?
Yes. Same-day turns get a hard deadline and priority in our schedule. Tell us your checkout and check-in times when you request a quote so we can confirm we can hold the window before you book.
Do you help owners maintain Superhost status?
Over the past four years we have helped local owners maintain consistent 5-star cleanliness standards and smooth turnovers without guest complaints. Consistency is what protects that status, which is why we run systems rather than one-off cleans.

Residential Cleaning

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
No. Most clients give us access details — a lockbox code, key location, or contact person — and we work while they are out. Please do not leave children home during cleaning, and animals should be crated or off the premises unless arranged in advance.
Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?
Yes, our team brings professional equipment and supplies. If you have allergies or aversions to particular scents or products, tell us on the request form and we will work around them.
What if I am not happy with a cleaning?
Contact us within 24 hours. We will assess your concerns and, where appropriate, re-clean the problem area at no additional cost to you.

Commercial Cleaning

Can you clean outside business hours?
Yes. Most commercial contracts are scheduled around your operating hours — evenings, early mornings, or weekends. We set this during the walkthrough.
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
Yes. Peak Services is licensed, bonded, and insured, operating under Alaska Business License #2164310. We can provide documentation for your records.

Floor Care

How long do floors need to dry?
It depends on the method and the ventilation. We give you a dry time estimate before we start and schedule the work so it lands outside your busiest hours.
Can you restore floors that have been neglected?
Often, yes — that is what restorative cleaning and strip and wax are for. The assessment tells us honestly whether restoration or replacement is the better spend.

Move-Out Cleaning

Does the home need to be empty?
Cleaning is most effective when the home is fully empty. Items left behind may limit what can be completed. Tell us on the request form if the home will not be empty so we can quote it accurately.
Can I get documentation for my landlord?
Yes. We offer photo documentation, a PDF verification report, and a property condition record. Ask for the post-clean verification report on the request form.
What if the home needs more work than expected?
Homes requiring additional time due to buildup, condition, or incomplete move-out may incur additional charges. We communicate any additional charges before completion whenever possible.

Property Watch

Is property watch the same as a security service?
No. Property watch is scheduled walkthroughs with visual observations and photo documentation. We report what we see. We are not a monitored alarm or security patrol service.
What happens if you find a problem?
You hear from us with photos and a documented observation. Where it is within our scope we can act; where it needs a trade, you have the record you need to get one moving.

Vacation Rental Consulting

Do you consult outside Southeast Alaska?
Yes. We specialize in Southeast Alaska’s challenges — weather, shipping, seasonality — but the systems work anywhere, and we work with clients nationwide by phone and video.
Is the consultation fee refundable?
Consultation fees are credited toward ongoing turnover services if we partner together.
